The craze for animation is growing every day because of video gamming. Every second youth is hooked to video games and this is working as a major draw for youths to get enrolled for an Advanced Diploma in 3D Animation. Xbox and Playstation are some of the bywords by which today’s youth swear. Few hours in the day are dedicated to playing these games and when their interest reaches a different height, they want to get behind the scene and take part in developing these games. The report has come from MAAC India, the leading animation institute in India. It is the growing passion for video games in today’s youth that is drawing them towards animation and are getting enrolled in MAAC’s animation courses. Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) offers two types of Advanced Diploma in 3D Animation, one that suits experts and another that is more suitable for professionals. Certificate courses in animation are also taught in MAAC. Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics offer many options in terms of courses on animation from which students can choose according to their requirement.
A good video game animator should posses some inherent talents like storytelling, artistry and hand sketching; rest of the technical skills are taught and chiseled at MAAC. The technical qualities that are required for animation are knowledge of stop-motion, 3D, 2D, lighting, compositing and non-linear editing to name a few.
Video game animation is all about characterization and problem resolving. Therefore lucid story boarding and story telling are an integral part of video game animation. A video game animator needs to take into account lot of things like being able to visualize the different problem stages and the reaction options that the character can possibly opt. And the challenge is that everything is happening in the virtual world, where anything can be possible but still the options that need to be provided should be in tune with the physical world, otherwise the appeal of the game would be lost.
The Advanced Diploma in 3D Animation of MAAC tutors on Cinematography, Concept of Film Making, Performance Art, Digital Design, Compositing, Sound Editing, Non-Linear Editing, Photoshop, After Effects, Adobe Soundbooth, Adobe Premiere, Modeling, Texturing, Lighting, Rigging, Look Development, Lighting, Particles & Dynamics, Hair, Fur and Cloth, Character Set up, Skinning, 3D Studio MaxTM, Boujou, Fusion and FCP.
In the programme meant for experts students get to specialize in their last semester in one of the five subjects namely Modeling, Lighting, Rigging Animation and Visual Effects.
